Artist Talk & Demo with Shauna Shane: Exploring Light and Shadow

Clinton Art Society is excited to launch our 2026 art education program with artist Shauna Shane! Shauna will create a demo painting in oil and share tips on developing strong light and shadow elements in your compositions.

About Shauna Shane

Shauna Shane is an award-winning artist working in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. Her work features saturated light, color, and texture. Shauna’s paintings reflect her ability to communicate the energy, chroma and unique atmosphere of a scene. As a teacher, she takes pride in conveying how to see and understand the visual world in a way that makes the artistic journey enjoyable and productive.

Her work is held in collections across the US and around the world. She is on the Board of the Hudson Valley Art Association where she is an elected member. She holds elected or signature member status with the CT Pastel Society, Lyme Art Association, Arts Center East, and New England Watercolor Society.
